Volunteer Opportunities

It is such an honor to be selected Volunteer of the month. I am deeply touched….

At the Membership Orientation, two years ago, we shared life experiences that had brought us to Unity Spiritual Center. It was then the realization arose that I was amongst like-minded folks. (Unity had just opened its doors after Covid.) I had the sense that I’d found my Spiritual home.

This week Reverend Jere shared Charles Fillmore’s vision of Unity as being a school rather than a church. That caught my attention. As I look back at the various book studies such as Way of Mastery and A Course of Love and many others, the realization that, indeed, Unity has been a school of spiritual teachings for me. And I am so grateful.

   Then several months ago I started volunteering to help with the altar. My mentors, Kristie and Peter were a delight to work and create with. Now am working with Karen in collaboration to create a thing of beauty, the altar. Recently have been working with Heidi in hospitality putting out coffee and yummy treats after Sunday service. Volunteering has offered me the opportunity to develop deeper bonds with these people I’ve come to know and love and trust. Volunteering has taken me to yet another level of relationship with Unity as the bonds of friendship take root and grow. A sense of 

Be-longing has blossomed. The take-away lesson for me is that working together brings Unity to our Comm-unity
