VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION – SUNDAY LIGHTING PERSON
POSITION: SUNDAY LIGHTING PERSON
PURPOSE: To run the Lighting system during services
SCHEDULE: 2 hours one Sunday day a month
REPORTS TO: Sound Board Person
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Come in by 10:15 to start review of the service program and lighting requirements.
2. Using the lighting control panel set the lighting by pushing the appropriate number.
3. When the sermon begins, count the number of persons in the Sanctuary and record the number.
4. Closely monitor the progress of the Sunday service and insure the proper lighting.
SPECIAL SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: ability to detect lighting conditions and adjust to the service program; ability to multi task; calm disposition and ability to closely monitor the progress of the service; people skills – smiling & a desire to help others.
COMMENTS: You will be provided specific training on the Lighting System. This position is essential to the smooth functioning of the Sunday Service and works from the Sound/Projection booth upstairs.
